From time to time network providers change their channel line ups, by adding, deleting and moving channels around in their network.Your DM boxes will in most cases have all the channels loaded in it under your satellite lists, but not always under the bouquets you may have set up. So this quick how to is about scanning for new channels and adding these new channels to your bouquet list. You will find all of this information in your user manuals as well. Your User Manual which is linked here and please read page 47 in this .pdf file.This howto is based on the Measat 1/3 satellite but can be used for any satellite or network you desire.
Press your menu button and you should see something like this Select the setup option and press your OK button
now this menu will pop up on your screen If you can NOT see the images properly simply click on them so they become full size
now depending on the image you are using, you will see a menu something like this. Now highlight the option for service searching and press your OK button. This option allows to add, change, remove satellites, change LNB setting and the bit we want in this HOWTO which is to scan a satellite for new channels.

If you have a move system we can assume you have moved to the satellite you want to rescan for new channels. Now select the Automatic Transponder scan option. [Yes our boxes do also do the same for multi satellite transponder scans on any move system we provide]

Now select the satellite you want to autoscan. You will see a large list of satellites here in most cases.
Note 1: Simply use your LEFT and RIGHT arrow keys on your remote to move over the list of satellites. Then select the satellite you want to scan and press the OK key.Note 2: When you have finished the scan it will ask you if you want to scan more satellites. Press the RED button to stop scanning and press your exit button all the way back to your TV screen where you started all this from.

You should be back on the channel you started this scan process from.NOTE: If you press the OK button twice you will see a complete channel list appear of the bouquet you are in now.NOTE: If you then press the BLUE button you will see the list of bouquetsNOTE: If you press the GREEN button you will see a complete list of satellitesNOTE:You will NOT find the new channels under your existing bouquet list, now we need to add these channels

How to add the new found channels to my bouquet list?Besides adding the new found channels you may also want to remove channels as well
Now you have added all the new channels to your set top box you need to add them to a bouquet you have set up for that satellite (in this example we are using the Astro Network)However you can simply read your User Manual which is linked here and please see page 60 in this .pdf file Press your MENU button and select Setup and press your OK button

Now select the Services Organising menu option and press your OK button.

Now select the Add services to bouquet option that is already highlighted on the picture on the left, and press your OK button. Now press the OK button over the TV option. Now select the Astro Malaysia bouquet which we will all the new channels we just scanned in the above section.

Once you have selected Astro Malaysia a list of satellites will be shown to you. Now move to the Measat 1/3 Ku -SERVICES satellite (select services not new found or provider) and press the OK button.Once you have made this selection up will come a list of channels on this satellite. Now simply add any channel to the bouquet. Those channel names marked in WHITE font are NOT currently in the bouquet. Those channel names marked in RED font are currently in the bouquet. To add a channel simply highlight it and press the OK button.To remove a channel from the bouquet list simply highlight any red coloured channel name and press the OK button. This will de-select (remove it) it from the bouquet list.See the button two examples on the left hand side of the screen.Once you have finished adding and or deleting channels from your bouquet list simply press the EXIT button on your remote control and go back to your TV screen and watch TV.RECAP: to watch a bouquet - from the TV screen press the OK button twice so a complete channel list appears. The press your BLUE button and select the bouquet you require, highlight the name of the bouquet and press OK.

How do I organise my channel list so it is the way I want it?You can always customise this to way you want it rather than way it is provided to you.
However you can simply read your User Manual which is linked here and please see page 47 in this .pdf fileOnce you have scanned for new channels and added them to your bouquet list you might like to put them in an order or format that you like.
All the newly added channels to the bouquet list will be located at the end of the channel list. So move there and highlight a channel you want to move like this example be the GC (Golf Channel).

Now simply press your MENU button and up will pop this menu. Move the curser down to enable move mode and press the OK button

Now the GC (Golf Channel) will be highlighted in RED. Now simply use your arrow keys to move the channel to where you want it to appear on the list. Now when you have it positioned where you want press the OK button to drop it in that location.

Now you have pressed the OK button you will see the red highlight will be removed and this is where the channel will now be located. Now repeat this process until you have a channel list in an order you are happy with. When you have finished simply press the exit button on your remote control.Now go and watch TV.
